Global Product Manager, Synthesis and Catalysis

Your Role:


The Chemical Synthesis franchise is a critical component of MilliporeSigma’s Lab and Specialty Chemical business. Historically known for its chemistry-enabling catalog of building blocks, reagents and catalysts, our focus has evolved to complement this traditional offering of synthetic solutions to include new areas of growth such as Chemical Biology, Peptide Synthesis and MedChem Platforms.


Your role would be to manage a high-profile portfolio of synthetic reagents and catalysts, with a primary focus on driving growth through innovative new product launches. To achieve this, you will collaborate with internal (R&D, BD) and external (academic and industry) partners to identify technology that addresses unmet needs in synthetic chemistry; working with operations and the commercial teams will then ensure the success (and market adoption) of your launches.


In this role, you will utilize your strong chemistry background, work with true innovators of the field, all while gaining an appreciation for the business side of science. Most importantly, your work will influence the direction and success of thousands of practicing chemists globally.



Who You Are:


Minimum Qualifications:

  • PhD in Chemistry or related field
  • 6+ months of lab experience, with an emphasis in synthetic organic chemistry or catalysis


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior Post Doc and/or Industry experience
  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization, influencing with and without direct authority
  • Strong communicator, with a keen scientific curiosity
