Location: The Head of PMO is a remote position with preference given to candidates near Allentown, PA (or East Coast).  There will be approximately 10-20% domestic and potentially international travel required to meet business needs.  

 

Your Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Project Management Lead with expertise to oversee multiple strategic initiatives within the Specialty Gases business unit. The role will partner closely with the Specialty Gases Commercial team and key stakeholders in Operations, Technology, Finance, and Strategy to ensure robust execution, clear roadmaps, and timely delivery of milestones that unlock business value.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project management for multiple strategic initiatives within Specialty Gases, from charter through execution and benefits realization.
  • Develop, maintain, and socialize detailed program roadmaps and milestone-based plans that align with strategic objectives and commercial priorities.
  • Drive program governance, including steering committees, stage gates, risk registers, issue logs, change control, and benefits tracking.
  • Partner with the Specialty Gases Commercial team to translate strategic intents into actionable projects with clear value propositions and success criteria.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Technology, and Strategy to identify dependencies, resource needs, and sequencing across initiatives.
  • Define and implement project management standards, templates, and a scalable PMO framework tailored to transformational programs.
  • Manage cross-functional teams and external collaborators; facilitate decision-making and conflict resolution.
  • Monitor and communicate program health, milestones, risks, and mitigation plans to executive sponsors; prepare concise, decision-ready status updates and roadmaps.
  • Lead change management activities including communication plans, stakeholder engagement, training readiness, and adoption metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and applying best practices to future transformations.
  • Change management and adoption artifacts (communications, training materials, rollout plans).

 

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, chemistry, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in program/project management, with demonstrated success delivering complex transformational programs
  • Engineering capital project experience within the chemical, semiconductor, oil and gas, or a related industry

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional initiatives within a chemical, manufacturing, or industrial context
  • Strong expertise in transformation disciplines: new operating models, process optimization, digital enablement, and value realization
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and executive-level presentation skills
  • Proficiency with project management methodologies and PMO governance
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain rigorous attention to detail, and meet tight deadlines
  • Change management acumen, including effective communication strategies and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in benefits tracking and business case ROI

 

Pay range for this position: $117,300 - $176,000

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
