Your Role:

 The Operations Team Lead (Distribution) plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations and activities within the distribution center environment. Responsibilities involve leading a team of associates, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining a high standard of productivity and safety.

 

Key Responsibilities includes:

  • Lead and supervise a team of distribution center associates
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure they perform their duties effectively
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
  • Oversee daily operations on the distribution center floor, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping processes
  • Monitor workflow and adjust staffing levels as needed to meet productivity goals
  • Ensure adherence to operational procedures and safety standards
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure accuracy and efficiency in order fulfillment processes
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address any quality issues
  • Assist in managing inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliation activities
  • Coordinate with inventory control teams to ensure proper stock levels and minimize discrepancies
  • Track key performance metrics (KPIs) related to productivity, accuracy, and safety
  • Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary
  • Communicate effectively with management, peers, and other departments to coordinate activities and resolve issues
  • Collaborate with logistics and transportation teams to ensure timely and efficient distribution of goods

 

Physical Attributes:

 

  • Lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods of time
  • Work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels

 

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years in a distribution center or warehouse environment
  • 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP or Oracle experience
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach a diverse team
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping processes
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and software (e.g., WMS)
  • Understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to warehouse operations
