Your Role:

EMD Electronics is hiring a Production Operational Expert.  The Production Operational Expert is responsible for enhancing the efficiency and consistency of production planning processes. This role serves as a critical contributor to ensure the integrity of SAP operations and to support various operational projects.  In this role, you will lead key initiatives to improve production planning and manage critical KPIs to support DS&S (Delivery Services & Solutions) strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Day to Day operations: Work closely with production planners to enhance production planning efficiency, including product mix improvement. Warehouse Support: support manufacturing sites to optimize storage and logistics. Work with manufacturing to fully utilize the factories etc.
  • Drive continuous improvement: Spearhead initiatives to achieve consistency and continuous improvement in production planning processes.
  • ERP project support: Act as a key user in global ERP projects, ensuring successful implementation and alignment with operational goals.
  • SAP Power User: Support the organization through ownership of production planning module in SAP for the equipment sector.
  • SAP operations maintenance: Maintain process disciplines within SAP operations, ensuring accurate and efficient system functionality.
  • KPI oversight: Monitor and oversee Planning KPIs for DSS Plants, including Shop On-Time Delivery (OTD), Capacity Utilization, and On-Time In-Full (OTIF) metrics.
  • ZSTO (International Stock Transfer Order) process leadership: Lead ZSTO process management and support global material allocations.
  • S&OP support: Provide support for Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes as required.
  • Order Management support: work closely with Order Management Team (OMT) to execute reprioritization of critical customer orders to maintain zero negative float.

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in production planning and ERP/MRP systems OR
  • High School diploma or GED with 10+ years of experience in production planning and ERP/MRP systems

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of SAP
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage complex KPIs
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively across various departments
