Your Role:

The Delivery Systems and Services (DS&S) business offers gas/chemical/slurry delivery equipment, installation projects, aftermarket, and on-site services to Semiconductor Solutions’ Group customers. Markets include semiconductor, display, and LED. Primary objective of the business is to improve revenue, profitability, and market share of our DS&S products, by offering Marketing the right combination of products with competitive pricing.


Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Director is responsible for the overall business Sales and Operations planning, strategy and process. This includes continual monitoring of the market situation and specific customer opportunity orders and forecast to improve utilization of the factory capacity for our global manufacturing facilities to meet industry required lead time needs while minimizing costs.


This position is a critical coordination role that supports the information needed to make important business decisions.  The role reports directly to the Senior Vice President, is part of the Senior Leadership team, and will not have any direct reports. 


This role can be located in either Allentown, PA or Tempe, AZ. 


Position Responsibilities

All responsibilities require a high degree of collaboration across the senior leadership team for DS&S.  This includes coordination with leaders of the following functional groups on a regular basis: Regional General Managers, Business Development & Strategy, Sales, Controlling, Operations, Strategic Sourcing, and IT.


  • Position leads the coordination to develop plans to maintain resource utilization and factory loading to minimize the impact of fixed manufacturing overhead cost to business profitability
  • Responsible for developing and implementing the Global operating plan including revenue targets, profitability, and action plans
  • Prioritization of order execution conflicts and issue resolution
  • Determine and publish volume requirements based on operating plan revenues for yearly cost center operating budgets
  • Responsible for ensuring pricing process, order execution process and delegation of authorities are documented and followed. This includes auditable compliance with SOX control points and the Company’s Internal Controls Program
  • Coordination with Regional Sales teams to support regular cadence of revenue forecasts and provide results to Business Head and Controlling for regular business reporting
  • Coordination with Product Management teams regarding the integration and planning for new product execution
  • Risk Management Champion that leads the Risk Evaluation Process / various audits / and other similar items not otherwise assigned to others
  • Collaborate with business unit senior leaders to develop long-term strategic plans that: integrate into operating plans, address future capacity and customer needs, and identify merger & acquisition opportunities and partnerships
  • Work with external partners and marketing agencies and uses the found knowledge to participate in strategy discussions


Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Engineering or Business discipline.
  • 8+ years relevant experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree, Engineering or Business discipline
  • Solid understanding of the semiconductor industry, sub-fab equipment, services contracts, and its customers.
  • Experience with gas delivery equipment and services.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proactive, driven, and can collaborate effectively across various teams, i.e., Sales, Product Management, Engineering and Manufacturing
  • Comfortable in a high-tech, fast-paced environment
  • Financial experience with interpreting P&L statements
  • Experience with navigating SAP and other reporting tools
  • Excellent analytical skills and comfortable managing and analyzing data to make decisions
