Your Role:

We are seeking a motivated Solution Expert to join our Information Technology team. The successful candidate will support our discrete manufacturing and services business by leveraging their expertise in Computer Aided Design (CAD), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Product Data Management (PDM) platforms, including, but not limited to, software applications such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, and other comparable tools. You will provide subject matter knowledge and technical expertise for key solutions, assist in defining the long-term direction of the solutions and support Business Partners in the communication of the Solution Roadmap, play a key role during solution requirements gathering and business and use case development (benefits, etc.), create and execute against a test plan, document test scenarios, sets and/or scripts and participate in testing activities as they align with the testing strategy.

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our engineering and manufacturing processes through the optimization and management for CAD, PDM and PLM capabilities.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • PLM, CAD and PDM Platform(s) Management: Administer and maintain the businesses implementation of SolidWorks® CAD, PDM and Manage PLM to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Process Optimization: Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to identify and implement process improvements using various CAD and SolidWorks PDM and SolidWorks manage platforms.
  • Customization and Integration: Customize CAD, PDM & PLM to meet specific business needs and integrate them with other enterprise systems.
  • User Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to users, ensuring they are proficient in using CAD, PDM & PLM.
  • Data Management: Ensure the integrity and security of data within CAD, PDM & PLM.
  • Project Management: Lead and participate in IT projects related to CAD, PDM & PLM including upgrades, migrations, and new process implementations.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation for systems configurations, processes, solution use case requirements, test cases, and procedures.
  • Compliance: Ensure all applications and processes comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Travel: 10% for training and collaboration with other teams, manufacturing site locations (domestic).

 

Location: This position is hybrid with office-based onsite engagement required in our Chandler, AZ office or Allentown, PA offices

 

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar degree.
  • 3+ years of experience working with CAD and PDM platforms.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SolidWorks CAD, PDM and Manage PLM platform.
  • Previous experience in a discrete manufacturing and services environment.
  • Strong understanding of CAD and PDM principles with a willingness to learn new tools.
  • Some experience in 2D Dev formats such as DraftSight and AutoCAD including integration other platforms within enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Value a growth mindset and eager to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
