Location:

The Megasys Quality Engineer is an onsite role in metropolitan Austin, TX.  Minimal domestic travel is required to meet business needs.

 

Your Role: 

MEGASYS® offers specialized services in managing gases, chemicals and slurries, where our technicians and engineers provide critical on-site support in semiconductor manufacturing environments. 

In this position, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with other sites, participate in off-site meetings, and engage in occasional travel for training and strategic initiatives. Your leadership will be crucial in driving the success of our operations and enhancing customer relationships. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Develop and maintain inspection reports for safety and quality, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications. 
  • Conduct regular audits of operations and maintenance areas according to quality and safety standards to identify non-conformities and areas for improvement. 
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions. 
  • Perform root cause investigations for quality issues and develop Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence. 
  • Maintain and update quality documentation, including quality manuals, procedures, and work instructions. 
  • Train and mentor team members on quality standards and best practices to foster a culture of quality throughout the organization. 
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and report findings to management, driving continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Cross functional collaboration and support with PSM program. 

 

Schedule:  

The Quality Engineer will be scheduled on a Monday through Friday work schedule but will be expected to field calls and coordinate recovery of equipment during off hours. 

 

Physical Attributes: 

  • Walking throughout the facility (up to 3 miles per day)
  • Basic lifting (up to 40lbs)

Who You Are 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • BS Degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience in quality engineering or assurance 
  • Experience facilitating FMEAs 
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, ISO 9001, and industry standards 
  • Proven experience in conducting audits, inspections, and root cause analysis 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE) or similar
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or ultra-high purity operations 
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen) 
  • Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)

Pay range for this position: $121,800 - $156,000

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
