Project Coordinator

Your Role:

Versum Materials, now a part of EMD Performance Materials has created a Project Coordinator position for its MEGASYS team at Austin, TX. The Project Coordinator will oversee maintenance projects in support of customer manufacturing. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that all jobs are completed safely and correctly. The Project Coordinator will work with a team of technicians to develop in depth processes with a focus on safety and quality. In this role, you will be the primary contact for project related concerns for the site. This includes developing scope for processes, reviewing process for safety and quality, and overseeing the work that is being performed. A successful candidate will work to drive continuous improvements that will improve safety and quality of the work. You will be assigned to shift-one (Monday–Friday) and will be required to support a compressed workweek schedule and/or twenty-four-hour call-out as needed.

  • Oversee technician’s daily workload according to customer schedules. Identify gaps and improvement ideas for future work with a focus on safety and quality improvements
  • Manage and actively implement basic safety processes (BSP) to ensure the safety of the team for high risk work that is undertaken.
  • Manage day to day maintenance projects and start-up capital projects to support ongoing plant improvement and expansion efforts at a customer site.
  • Support customer manufacturing through process troubleshooting and continuous improvement projects
  • Provide on-site in-depth technical support for jobs related to the chemical distribution of ultra-high purity chemicals and slurries to support semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Support process development to support maintenance activities. This includes technical writing and procedure development. Focus of technical writing is to ensure that safe practices are implemented in a quality manner that ensures all jobs are completed as expected.
  • Work with customer engineers and supervisors to develop action plans to resolve equipment related non-conforming events
  • Participate in project review meetings & close out reporting. Maintain detailed records of start-up projects and maintenance activities.

 

  

Who You Are:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Chemistry
  • 4+ years of experience working with ultra-pure fluid delivery systems

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS Office proficiency
  • Outgoing individual comfortable presenting to large groups
  • Able to create a project schedule and meet deliverable dates
  • Proficient with P&ID’s and understanding flow paths
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with gas and/or chemical delivery systems in ultra-high purity operation
  • Strong leadership skills
