Project Manager-Analytics LSR PM Ops

Key Accountabilities:

  • The Project Manager position assists the Senior Project Manager and the Marketing Business Analyst in supporting Product and Marketing Management.
    • Primary area of support includes gathering internal and external data, data mining, and advanced analysis of large data sets using expert Excel skills (e.g macros, formulas, functions, pivot tables and charts).
    • Additional area of support includes participation and/or driving Operational Excellence projects as needed.

Strategic Impact:

Supports detailed data analysis, including: Financial Reporting, Product Positioning and Market Valuation for each functional area of the Lift Science Research – Kits and Reagents (LSR) business

Leads activities and projects supporting the Life Science - Regents (LSR) franchise(s) in terms of maximizing revenue through post-commercialization product life cycle. 

 

Scope of People Responsibility:

  • Providing data-mining analysis from various database sources
  • Parsing and massaging data for input into Excel and/or intermediate databases. 
  • Assist Business analyst with identifying growth platfoms and evaluating  stategic plans in order to develop the critical knowledge of market trends, identifying key business drivers and developing recommendations to management through detaled reports.
  • Assist with the development of balanced scorecards for the business unit that translates the strategic direction into measurable outcomes for tracking progress.
  • Gather internal and external data to drive each projects analysis and expedite assigned projects
  • Communicate orally and in writing, as needed, to the project team, sponsors and/or steering committee members
  • Assist with the preparation of the business plans
  • Support Senior Project Manager ias running multiple projects concurrently through utilization of project management best practices to ensure customer, time, quality and schedule  requirements are met.

Education:

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or related field

Work Experience:

  • Requires 5+ year(s) previous experience within marketing, sales, technical service, procurement, finance, or some combination thereof.  Strong understanding of financial analysis and working knowledge of Financial Systems is required. SAP, BI, Tableau or AREA Technology is a plus.
  • Business and market assestment as well as an awareness of the product develpoment processes and related ERP sytems are required.  
  • In addition to above, previous experience within Operations – Manufacturing, Planning or other (e.g. APICS) is highly preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and/or PMP- Project Management Skills desire

 

Job specific Competencies & Skills:

  • Position requires the ability to generate detailed analysis, converted to a concise summary, both in writing and orally.
  • High level of attention to detail is required – ability to complete project tasks with accuracy and consistency.
  • Demonstrated experience with Oracle and SAP ERP systems
  • Demonstrated experience with Business Objects, Business Warehouse or other like business supporting systems
  • High level of proficiency in MS Office tools to include: Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio etc.
  • Able to build a culture of trust and business driven innovation.  Work with internal organizations to solve on-going issues within the team. Communicate and lend guidance on overcoming problems related to completing projects.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks on a given time frame
  • Ability to work with geographically remote teams and/or projects
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills (verbal, written, listening) – ability to work with internal teams with a culture of trust and business driven innovation.
