Your Role:
At MilliporeSigma the BioAnalytical Scientist will support efforts leading to the development of new products and processes for BioProcessing and Viral Gene Therapy manufacturing. The position is based in Bedford, MA and is part of the Process Solutions Research and Development (R&D) group. The BioAnalytical team focuses on the development, optimization, and application of analytical techniques including HPLC, ELISA, qPCR, dPCR, particle analysis, and electrophoresis to support Adeno-Associated Virus and monoclonal antibody production and purification projects. This position is 85% lab based.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry, Biology or other Science discipline
OR
- Associate Degree in Biochemistry, Biology or other Science discipline with 2 + years’ experience in biomolecule analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the quantification of proteins and DNA; familiarity with instruments such as HPLC and plate readers and techniques such as ELISA
- Fundamental understanding of biopharmaceutical processing
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in the lab following SOPs, procedures, and protocols
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, collaborative team environment
- Ability to multi-task, handle routine as well as non-routine requests and assist other members of the group as required
- Ability to follow instruction on routine procedures and with specific instructions from supervisor
- Possess a working knowledge in the operation of lab equipment and the ability to recognize equipment issues and take corrective action
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint software
- Excellent record keeping, verbal and written communication skills
Pay Range for this position: $90,000-$149,200/year
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
