Telecommuting: Please note that telecommuting is an option but the employee must reside in commuting distance of the Bedford, Massachusetts region in order to be in the office three (3) days per week.

 

Travel: 5% domestic travel and 5% international travel per year is required.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  1. Execute Aseptic business strategy to meet short and long-term business objectives: increasing order intake, competitive conversion and seeding aseptic products into new biologics molecules.

 

  1. Define critical innovation required & drive global product launch (i.e., Aseptic offering for Novel Modalities (Viral Gene Therapy, Monoclonal Antibody, Vaccines, etc.)) in manufacturing including business case and concept briefs preparation, market assessment, voice of customer, financial analysis, new product positioning and market introduction, launch collaterals, sales training, etc.

 

  1. Conduct comprehensive analysis of market dynamics for both products and the portfolio, with a specific focus on modality trends and utilize analysis to develop reliable and strategic forecasts that inform decision-making and align with business objectives.

 

  1. Develop pricing strategy by working closely with Pricing Strategy team to maximize win rate and profit contribution.

 

  1. Proactively manage portfolio lifecycle strategy: drive decisions from product development and market introduction, up to product rationalization, secure overall business health and optimize our offering that reflects customer needs.

 

  1. Define portfolio positioning, segment and marketing plans in alignment with the business strategy and based on extensive product, application and industry knowledge; actively monitor competitor portfolio, innovation pipeline and activities; align with internal stakeholders to develop appropriate Go-To-Market plans.

 

  1. Spearhead the development of business cases for strategic investments, guiding the decision-making process to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and long-term growth strategies.

 

  1. Engage proactively with commercial teams to gain insights into specific customer needs, assess overall market trends, and identify future growth opportunities.

 

  1. Coordinate and align with internal stakeholders across various functions (such as R&D, Portfolio Operations, Strategy, Commercial, Pricing, Value Chain, and Controlling) and multiple locations within a global, complex matrix environment.

 

  1. Deliver impactful presentations, along with comprehensive data and financial analyses, to effectively communicate insights and strategies to stakeholders, sponsors, and senior management. Additionally, engage with customers to present and discuss product offerings and their benefits.

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

 

Employer requires a Master’s degree in business administration, biotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences or closely related field, and at least two (2) years of work experience in any occupation with product management or marketing and business strategy in the pharmaceutical/biotech context. In addition, the employer requires the following:

 

  1. Demonstrated knowledge of biotechnology market, products & competition through qualitative and quantitative analytics skills to set positioning & business strategy for products or services gained through at least two (2) years of work experience;
  2. Demonstrated ability to understand unmet market need and build business case through market research and drive critical innovation & global product launch projects gained through at least two (2) years of work experience;
  3. Demonstrated ability working with a domestic & international network of functions and stakeholders to drive business decisions & projects gained through at least two (2) years of work experience;
  4. Demonstrated ability building financial analyses including ROI and building reliable short-term and long-term financial forecasting gained through at least two (2) years of work experience; and
  5. Demonstrated understanding of the downstream bioprocessing market with a focus on Aseptic Filtration products, particularly emphasizing regional market dynamics in Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas gained through at least one (1) year of work experience.

 

All years of experience may be gained concurrently.

 

Salary range is $142,675.11 per year to $168,190 per year.  Compensation is based on experience, location, and other factors.  We offer generous benefits packages:  https://careers.emdgroup.com/us/en/benefits.
