Maintenance Technician 1

Your Role:

At MilliporeSigma, the Maintenance Technician 1 will maintain a safe and effective workplace for all employees and guests. Job duties include:

  • Execute routine maintenance on production equipment, ensuring optimal operational efficiency
  • Actively participate in process improvement initiatives and capital projects to enhance production capabilities
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with diverse machine equipment, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity
  • Provide occasional on-call support to address urgent equipment or process-related issues outside of standard work hours
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage and prioritize a variety of tasks effectively, adapting to changing production demands

 Physical capabilities:

  • Must be able to lift 70 lbs. 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma
  • 2+ years of experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC

                                                          Or

  • Vocational or Technical Diploma in Carpentry, Plumbing, or other trade

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical controls, including PLC's
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic controls
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and P&ID's
  • Strong Teamwork and interpersonal skills
