Your role:

 

The Manufacturing Operator 2 at MilliporeSigma in Bellefonte PA will: 

 

  • Prepare, pack and process products used in assigned work area
  • Follow written instructions via MPS/SOP/ISO guidelines
  • Production of products in a variety of manufacturing areas
  • Monitor processes, identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Designs and conducts simple experiments to increase yield, improve product quality, and/or develop new products
  • Assist R&D in manufacturing of new products
  • Package and label all products according to instructions
  • Test products in assigned work area
  • Prepares samples for QC when requested
  • Completes in-process inspections
  • Maintains QC experimental records
  • Operate and maintain all necessary lab equipment
  • Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all equipment for manufacturing of products
  • Maintain inventory of raw materials and requests supplies at established levels
  • Perform general maintenance and cleaning of work area and lab equip

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Vision within normal limits
  • Move materials up to 50 lbs.
  • May involve repetitive hand and arm movements and standing or sitting for extended periods of time
  • Handle chemicals safely using proper PPE
  • Manually dexterous

 

Who you are:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ year’s experience working with automated manufacturing equipment

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • 1 + years of work experience in an industrial setting
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficiency with computers
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to write legibly
  • Basic math skills
  • Prior experience operating and/or maintaining labelling, packaging, and lab equipment such as: balances, labelers, vacuum pumps, ovens, evaporators, and glove boxes
