Your role:
The Manufacturing Operator 2 at MilliporeSigma in Bellefonte PA will:
- Prepare, pack and process products used in assigned work area
- Follow written instructions per MPS/SOP/ISO guidelines
- Participate in product manufacturing operations across various areas, monitoring processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Design and conduct experiments to enhance yield, product quality, and develop new products, and assist R&D during the manufacturing of new products.
- Package and label all products according to instructions
- Execute quality control testing (including in-process inspections), prepare samples for analysis, and maintain accurate QC experimental records.
- Operate and maintain all necessary lab equipment and manage raw material inventory, requesting supplies as needed.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment; perform maintenance and cleaning of work areas and lab equipment.
Physical Requirements:
- Vision and hearing within normal limits
- Ability to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- May require repetitive hand and arm movements, as well as standing or sitting for extended periods
- Handle chemicals safely while using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Manually dexterous for various tasks
Who you are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- 1+ years with automated manufacturing equipment and in an industrial setting
- Demonstrate high attention to detail, proficiency with computers and basic math, the ability to work independently, and capability for legible writing.
- Prior experience operating/maintaining labeling, packaging, and lab equipment (e.g., balances, labelers, vacuum pumps, ovens, evaporators, glove boxes)
