Your Role:
The Manufacturing Technician 2 will perform a variety of laboratory processes and support the development of manufacturing processes for new and existing products. This role involves identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities and may include training, following custom product work orders, simple experimental design, and troubleshooting processes or equipment. Job duties include:
- Execute production processes in various manufacturing areas, ensuring all lab processes for the preparation of products and raw materials are completed according to MPS/SOP/ISO guidelines.
- Monitor processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and design/conduct simple experiments to enhance yield and product quality.
- Set up lab and pilot processes based on technical specifications provided by the Production Supervisor.
- Maintain accurate reports and records, documenting process information for future reference and assisting in the preparation of process documentation.
- Assist in training and orienting new staff on manufacturing processes.
- Operate and maintain all necessary lab equipment, ensuring preventative maintenance is performed.
Physical Attributes:
- Successful completion of a pre-employment physical.
- Normal vision capabilities.
- Ability to operate standard PC.
- Proficient in using hand tools, balances, pumps, ovens, and various laboratory equipment.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing between 15-50 lbs.
- Capability to move between various workstations within the lab.
- Ability to work at bench level.
- Proficient in handling chemicals safely with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 + year of work experience in an industrial setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 + years of work experience in an industrial setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Effective teamwork skills with good communication abilities and a willingness to assist others.
- Basic knowledge of math principles for calculations involving ratios and percentages.
- Knowledge or educational background in Chemistry or other science fields
