Director of Clinical Trials Operational Design Lead (Billerica or Rockland, MA)

Your role:

The Operational Design Center is a capability within Global Clinical Operations (GCO). Our vision is to bring innovative medicines to patients by improving the operational effectiveness and efficiency of clinical trials through data derived decision making.

 

This role will interact with study teams to build out scenarios for modeling clinical trial operational designs. This role will lead the study team engagement and will provide project and demand management across the portfolio. As the first in this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the position as we implement and refine tools and processes.

 

We are looking for someone who is bold, brave, and curious. You must be willing to build the airplane while embarking on our first flights. If you are a strong leader with an ability to manage multiple projects across multiple teams handling prioritization and conflict smoothly, this could be the job for you. You are a transparent communicator who knows that efficiency requires alignment of strategy, tactics, and messaging.

 

Who you are:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience, Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience, or PhD with 3+ years of experience
  • At least 10 years of experience in drug development in pharmaceutical industry with at least 3 years in clinical trial operations strongly preferred
  • Experience in the creation, tracking, and reporting of data, metrics and key performance indicators
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate clearly, persuade, negotiate, and moderate conflict
  • Proactively addresses and manages risks and issue escalation
  • High level understanding of analytical methodologies and the development of clinical operational strategy
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of time
