Your Role:
The Associate Director of Controlling, Medical is a critical position within the US, serving as a key business partner to Head of North America Medical Affairs. This role is essential for achieving healthcare targets and ensuring the integrity of our financial investment objectives related to both the core business and support of new product launches.
The incumbent will deliver comprehensive financial analysis and strategic guidance, acting as a collaborative co-pilot with the business, ensuring the accuracy of monthly financials closings, overseeing forecasting and SD long range strategic planning and prioritizing efficient investment and resource allocation, providing effective communication with US Senior Leaders and business partners. Additionally, this role will represent finance in cross functional projects, leveraging AI and technology to enhance operational efficiencies and project management support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Co-pilot and strategic business partner ensure the achievement of healthcare financial target for the North America Medical Affairs area.
- Collaborate as a key member of the Medical Leadership Team, providing relevant finance support to the Head of North America Medical Affairs and the leadership team.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, month-end closing activities, and validation processes.
- Equip business partners with the necessary resources and tools related to all financial processes, while monitoring and recording critical monthly expenditures.
- Prepare and distribute high-quality monthly financial reports and analyses to Senior Leaders, the leadership team, and business partners to inform investment and resource allocation decisions.
- Review and approve all significant statements of work, ensuring alignment with forecasts and strategic plans.
- Oversee the quarterly forecasting process with business partners, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
- Complete SD/ long-range strategic planning, providing relevant Medical components to the TA controllers.
- Create and assist in the preparation of all management presentations, providing relevant Medical components.
- Provide cross-functional project management support, promoting process improvements and streamlining initiatives by leveraging AI and technology to enhance operational efficiencies.
- Support core business operations and new product launches.
- Undertake ad hoc activities, including support for internal and external audits, as well as responding to management requests and preparing presentations.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Business, Finance or Accounting
- MBA or CPA preferred
- Minimum 8 Years’ previous analysis experience in an international, multi-currency, biotechnology or pharmaceutical company
- Previous experience in Pharma with a focus in project management, Medical or R&D
- Proven track record in process improvement and establishing control frameworks
- Strong working experience of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Cognos, TM1, SAP
Location: Boston, MA, USA (Seaport); Hybrid 3x in office per week
Travel: <10%; International and Domestic
Pay range for this position: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
