Your Role

The Director of Oncology Partnerships at EMD Serono will join the Strategic Engagement and Partnerships (STEP) team to strengthen our organizational reputation by building strategic relationships with key stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem. This role plays a critical part in distinguishing EMD Serono within the competitive pharmaceutical landscape and driving growth through innovative, above-brand engagement with health care providers in Oncology.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Alliance Development
  • Identify and evaluate oncology partnership opportunities
  • Develop actionable plans to support customer-centric key account strategies, in partnership with internal stakeholders
  • Further build/develop the TAPP (The Advanced Practitioner Project) initiative in oncology, managing unbranded resources for Advanced Practice Providers and PharmDs
  • Explore expansion opportunities in emerging markets
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Facilitate coordination among internal teams to promote awareness of STEP initiatives
  • Ensure alignment of STEP initiatives across various organizational work streams
  • Event Management and Community Engagement
  • Execute above-brand events at key oncology meetings and congresses
  • Implement innovative engagement strategies for the oncology community based on therapeutic area needs

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree with 8+ years of experience, MS with 6+ years, or PhD/PharmD with 5+ years

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, focusing on oncology
  • Proven experience in developing strategic partnerships in healthcare
  • Strong understanding of the oncology landscape and emerging trends
  • Excellent project management and communication skills

Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to create action plans with clear goals in ambiguous environments
  • Strong relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Proven results-oriented approach with innovative business development strategies
  • Leadership ability in matrix and co-promote environments
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% domestically
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus

 

Pay range for this position:  $172,400 -  $258,600

Our ranges are derived from several sources, and largely reliant on relevant industry market data. Should we decide to make an offer, we will consider several factors, including but not limited to your location, skills, experience, career level, and other job-related factors.  This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; paid time off; and paid holidays; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses.
