Your Role:
The Field Reimbursement Manager for the Northwest region will facilitate patient and healthcare provider access to transformative therapies. Reporting to the Head of Field Patient Solutions & Customer Engagement, you will be integral to the Field Reimbursement team, focusing on patient journeys to enhance experiences with EMD Serono's (EMDS) products and services.
This role significantly impacts patient access to EMDS Neurology & Immunology products, particularly in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and HIV Associated Wasting (HIVAW). Ensuring timely treatment, unobstructed coverage, and proper distribution is crucial for both patients and healthcare operations.
You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize patient access and educate healthcare providers across community, institutional, and academic settings.
- Act as the owner by leading the eveluation and implementation of patient access opportunities within a specific geographic area for all applicable patient types.
- Lead evaluation and implementation of patient access opportunities in your geographic area.
- Collaborate with EMD Serono colleagues to resolve patient access barriers.
- Serve as the liaison to the HUBs (MS LifeLines and the Axis Center) and specialty pharmacies, addressing therapy challenges.
- Provide personalized issue resolution for prior authorizations and appeals.
- Educate providers on payer issues, coding, and claims submission.
- Inform stakeholders about payer utilization management tools and assist with HUB enrollment.
- Ensure a positive experience for healthcare providers and patients through collaboration.
- Identify professional societies for educational and relationship-building opportunities.
- Develop and execute tactical plans to support strategic access goals.
This is a remote, field-based position covering the Northwest, including Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, and Northern Wyoming, with 40-50% travel required.
Prefer candidates currently live in the covered geography for consideration.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sciences, or related fields.
- 8+ years in the pharmaceutical industry, sales, or field reimbursement.
- Knowledge of private payer, Medicare, and Medicaid systems.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel 40-50%, including overnight stays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years in specialty account management or managed care.
- Technical knowledge of drug coverage policies and healthcare payment methods.
- Proven results in resolving access challenges.
- Understanding of HIPAA and compliance in reimbursement roles.
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of neurology products, especially MS therapies.
- Experience in MS, Endocrinology, or similar fields.
- Reside within 90 minutes of a major airport in the territory.
