Your Role

Roles responsible for ensuring comany compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and laws as well as providing expertise on drug safety and medical topics.

 

Provides medical expert advice to ensure proper development and promotion of new products. Develops medical product information and stays informed on scientific trends and competition. Maintains relationships with target opinion leaders and trains local teams in medical topics.

 

  • Act as US Medical Affairs TA expert in N&I through in-field activities
  • Support the Brand or launch teams and NAMA TA leadership team in the development of TA, Launch and Brand strategies, as appropriate and compliant  
  • Lead Medical Affairs activities in assigned territory along defined local Medical Launch / Brand strategies, as appropriate and compliant  
  • Consolidate and communicate trends, market insights, and unmet needs identified in the field
  • Develops and implements territory Medical plans with HCPs and KOLs in assigned region, including development of significant, long-term relationships, to ensure the safe and appropriate use of company products by patients
  • Impact external perceptions and knowledge regarding company, TA, disease state awareness and products (as appropriate and compliant) by serving as advanced
    • technical, scientific, and medical expert with comprehensive and in-depth scientific TA knowledge
    • Develop Medical material for use in field, as requested from time to time
    • Deliver Medical educational presentations, programs and Journal Clubs to HCPs and KOLs
    • Support Medical activities at congresses, scientific meetings and patient advocacy related activities, as requested from time to time
  • Support company-sponsored and investigator-sponsored studies (ISS), as requested from time to time
    • For company-sponsored studies, contribute to site selection process, assist with site initiation, support conduct of studies, as appropriate and compliant
    • For ISSs, act as a resource, liaison and facilitator for ISS and investigators, as appropriate and compliant
  • Assimilate, process and share medical information with stakeholders
  • Ensure operational excellence by sharing best practices
  • Comply with relevant trainings and SOPs
  • Interact with Local stakeholders in Medical community in TA, with given frequency and pre-defined metrics, as appropriate and compliant
  • Interact with influential members of the Medical community (HCPs/external experts) and other healthcare stakeholders (managed care organizations, government organizations, patient groups) within assigned territory and TA, as appropriate and compliant
  • Represent company at Medical events, programs, meetings and congresses
  • Engage with internal colleagues (Medical Affairs department, Clinical Operations, Commercial colleagues as appropriate, etc.) in developing and delivering and participating in Medical or cross-functional initiatives

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Advanced scientific degree (e.g., MSc, PharmD, PhD, DO, MD)
  • Scientific and / or clinical training in area of relevance to position strongly preferred
  • Other advanced degree (non-scientific) and/or business degree/training is advantageous

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous MSL or related pharmaceutical experience preferred
  • Substantial professional, clinical or research experience in a scientific or related field required (minimum of 2 years)
  • Prior industry experience preferred
  • Product launch experience preferred
  • Knowledge and experience of methodology of clinical research and Good Clinical Practice preferred

  • Solid understanding of pharmaceutical and promotional compliance guidelines and regulations
  • Fluency in English (oral and Written)
  • Up to 60% travel, including overnight travel, periodic national meetings and may include international conferences
