Your Role:

EMD Electronics in Branchburg, NJ is seeking a Microscopist.  The Microscopist role supports production, R&D and Quality projects at EMD Electronics through the daily operation of the Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM) with Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS), Critical Dimension Scanning Electron Microscopes (CDSEM) and other semiconductor inspection instruments.

Responsibilities:

• Daily operation of SEM, examining photoresist structures and other R&D materials, as directed

• Following all safety best practices
• Performing other microscopy analysis, as required
• Developing new methodology as needed
• Performing calibration and routine basic maintenance

Who You Are: 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Material Science or other Physical Science discipline with 1+ years of experience utilizing SEM and/or EDS

• High School diploma or GED with 5+ years of experience utilizing SEM and/or EDS

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Self-motivated, willing to take and follow directions and deliver to schedule
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, problem/conflict resolution skills
• Strong attention to safety
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
