Location: The Operational Product Manager is a remote position with preferred locations in Allentown, PA, metro Phoenix, AZ, and Portland, OR with approximately 10% domestic and international travel required to meet business needs.

 

Your Role:

The Operational Product Manager – Controllers and Data is a vital member of the product management team, overseeing our portfolio of Control Platforms and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for semiconductor materials delivery, including gases, liquid chemicals, and solid/liquid slurries. This position reports to the Head of Operational Product Management and collaborates closely with vendors, customers, users, and cross-functional teams, including engineering, data analytics, software development, marketing, sales, and customer support.


Key Responsibilities:

  •  Execute Product Roadmap: Implement the product roadmap based on user specifications and manage product life cycles within our portfolio.
  • Lead Product Development: Drive product development efforts to enhance our portfolio. Utilize project management skills and build strong interpersonal relationships with internal teams to facilitate progress.
  • Define Product Features: Identify and prioritize product features and requirements through market research, customer feedback, and industry trends.
  • Translate User Needs: Understand and convert user needs into product requirements for prototype construction and final product development by engineering teams.
  • Develop Data and Analytics Use Cases: Collaborate with stakeholders to create and implement data and analytics use cases that address customer needs, potentially encompassing automation, optimization, prediction, and personalization capabilities.
  •  Ensure Timely Product Delivery: Work with engineers and software development teams to guarantee the timely delivery of high-quality products that meet customer expectations.
  • Coordinate New Product Development: Liaise with external customers and multi-discipline engineering teams during new product development, product transitions to outsourced manufacturers, troubleshooting fielded equipment issues, and managing deviations in current offerings.
  • Monitor Product Performance: Define measurable KPIs to track product performance and user feedback, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Provide Training and Support: Deliver product training and support to sales and customer support teams.
  • Manage Projects and Changes: Oversee project management and change management processes for engineering and technical issues.

 

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physical sciences
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or a commercial role, preferably within the semiconductor industry, with a strong background in embedded control platforms and/or programmable logic controller systems.
  • Proven experience with product management tools and agile product development methodologies

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated customer-centric mindset and a passion for delivering high-quality products that meet customer needs.
  • Strong technical aptitude and analytical skills
  • Continuous improvement principles including facilitation skills
  • Detailed investigation / troubleshooting & presentation skills
