Your Role:

The Analytical Workflow Specialist will serve as a field-based technical sales specialist in MilliporeSigma’s Life Science Division, focusing on the analytical workflow portfolio (chromatography, reference materials, sample prep, and related techniques). You will drive the adoption of analytical products across Pharma, Testing, Academic, and Industrial sectors, lead scientific discussions, build deep customer relationships, and support new product introductions in adjacent workflows.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Account Managers on sales plans and strategies for analytical workflows.
  • Lead customer conversations on MilliporeSigma’s analytical chemistry offerings; tailor technical content to customer needs.
  • Develop technical solutions for customer applications; map customer research, business initiatives, and R&D structure.
  • Expand relationships with key scientific leaders; provide technical training for account managers.
  • Maintain knowledge of competition and market trends; support successful product launches with Commercial Marketing and Product Management.
  • Build scientific credibility across customers, commercial teams, and marketing; gather feedback to inform product strategy.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry or related field
  • 5+ years’ combined laboratory or commercial experience
  • Ability to travel 20–50% (overnight travel as needed); reside in the Boston area (no relocation)
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Salesforce

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD with 7+ years’ combined laboratory and commercial experience
  • 3+ years chromatography lab experience
  • Prior field sales/marketing experience
  • Strong knowledge of analytical techniques (sample prep, LC/GC, LC-MS, GC-MS) for small and large molecules

 

Pay Range for this position: $103,500 - $178,700

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
