This role is part of the Life Science ACE (Analytics Center of Excellence) Data Services Team that is responsible for the design, implementation and operations of data ingestion pipelines and strategic data assets. The Data Steward has the authority to own the “left-hand side” of our data pipelines from data ingestion to data treasury. He/she owns the development and enhancements of high-quality data assets. The Data Steward is a data and business process expert, comfortable translating business requirements into technical data solutions.
 

Your role:

  • Oversees all data treasury items and data ingestion/enhancement requests in the data value stream supply chain operations.
  • Defines new data treasury items, gathering requirements and facilitating discussions with the internal business customers. 
  • Guides on- and off-shore data engineering team (internal and external staff) by providing direction, business requirements planning and request prioritization. 
  • Prioritizes the data ingestion backlog of data value stream supply chain operations, oversees the technical delivery of complex work packages by data engineers, guiding the development team with business process knowledge. 
  • Works closely with other Data Stewards to efficiently deliver the most critical data treasury items across value streams. 
  • Works with ACE Data Architects and other Data Stewards to develop an aligned and integrated business data architecture within and across business value streams. 
  • Collaborates with use case development teams by providing subject matter expertise and data domain knowledge of the data value stream supply chain operations. 
     

Who you are:
Minimum requirement:

  • B.Sc. (or higher) in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related field

Preferred requirement:

  • At least 3 years of experience in data management and data governance covering strategic and operational implementations
  • Knowledge of all aspects of data ´governance including but not limited to data lineage, metadata, data quality, data remediation and issue management
  • Working knowledge of structured/unstructured databases, data modelling, data management, SQL, agile methodology and data governance tools
  • Significant and practical experience and knowledge in the data domain for supply chain operations, analytics and processes
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication (fluent in English), teamwork abilities and stakeholder management relationship methods
