Your Role: 

As the Internal Communications Director, you will lead the development and execution of the internal communications strategy for our Life Science organization. You will be a key member of the Communications leadership team and work closely with senior leaders to ensure that all internal communication is clear, consistent, and aligned with the company’s goals and values. Key responsibilities include.  

 

Create and deliver compelling content that engages employees and strengthens the company’s culture. Effectively communicate organizational changes to provide an understanding of broader organizational context and address anticipated employee questions. Drive strategic project activities in line with business priorities, including leadership projects and events. Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and achieve impactful, high-quality results. Be a strong contributor to the Communications leadership team; create alignment, foster collaboration, and ensure a drive to pragmatic results. Lead a small team of highly talented communications professionals, ensuring strong performance, development, and engagement. 

 

This role requires close collaboration with members of the Communications team, the Life Science Leadership team, as well as stakeholders across various functions and sectors.  You possess a highly organized, results-driven working style and thrive in a fast-paced, multifaceted organization. 

   

Who you are: 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in Communications field, with strong background in internal communications and project management 

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken  

  • Prior leadership experience and demonstrated ability to work effectively with and advise senior executives and stakeholders  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field 
  • Cultural awareness and message sensitivity required to proficiently communicate with a diverse, global organization 

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Life Science industry 

  • Strong analytical skills required to analyze complex situations and identify key issues 

  • Strong process acumen and strong project management skills 

  • Ability to deliver within tight deadlines, in a global, matrixed organization  

  • Proactiveness and delivery mindset focused on executing outcomes 

  • Ability to optimize processes and implement improvements to maximize efficiency and effectiveness 

  • Extensive experience utilizing digital and multimedia systems and tools 

  • Proficient in multiple languages 

 

Location: Burlington, MA US or Darmstadt, Germany  

Travel: <10%
