Your Role: As the Director for Advanced Cell Culture services, you will drive strategy and business development activities in the area of services associated with Advanced Cell Culture. Based on customer and technical insights, you will together with your team define a clear roadmap to ensuring our value proposition to customers is recognized and appreciated. As the intrapreneur, you will set up the required organization and processes towards launch of new services leveraging our current and building our future capabilities.  

  • Generating critical market insights around potential new business related to technologies of focus 
  • Analyzing internal and external data to identify performance trends & opportunities, and to inform strategic direction  
  • Leveraging secondary sources and interfacing with primary market research colleagues & to analyze market trends, to identify potential opportunities  
  • Define and execute critical proof-of-concept 
  • Build, present and get approval on business cases for new businesses around the technologies of focus. 
  • Define and build the right sized organization and processes to start and grow your business.  
  • Provide professional development to team, creating an engaged workplace. 

 

Who you are:
Minimum Requirements: 

  • BS degree 10+ years exp, MS degree 5+ years, PhD 3+ years’ experience
  • Experience within strategy development, management consulting, or similar role  
  • Strong business acumen with analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to understand how business model decisions impact operating model design and execution across operations, technology, risk governance and organizational design 
  • Experience designing and driving complex, multi-stakeholder projects in matrix organization  
  • Experience partnering with, presenting to, and influencing upper management audiences  

Preferred Requirements:

  • MBA is a plus
  • Highly organized; independent self-starter able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; adapt well to change and able to prioritize multiple projects 
  • Highly curious and entrepreneurial spirit 
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills 
  • Previous direct people management experience is an asset 
  • Highly collaborative, flexible and team-oriented 
  • Exceptional communication skills to all levels of the organization with an astute attention to detail & accuracy  
  • Able to build effective relationships, influence people, drive accountability and resolve conflict.
