Your Role

At MilliporeSigma, based preferably in the Boston MA area, the Downstream Application Specialist will develop and translate global marketing plans into actionable regional marketing strategies and work with regional commercial teams and Business Partners to support and grow the Process Solution downstream business. This includes filtration, purification and the BioPharm materials portfolios. 

 

The Application Specialist is responsible for creating insightful win/loss analysis, develop an in-depth understanding of market trends and the competition. You will also communicate the “voice of the customer” to the internal organization including feedback to the global marketing plans.

 

Other activities for the Application Specialist role are sales opportunity support, direct applications support, best practices content development and training, go-to-market strategy execution, and supporting new product launch strategies.

 

Who You Are

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree or a Master’s degree in a Scientific, Engineering and Business discipline.
  • Knowledge and experience with Bioprocessing production unit operations.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated Customer, Marketing and Sales orientation.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish partnerships and ability to work in a collaborative environment using virtual tools.
  • The ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively to diverse audiences through both written and oral communications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Experience reporting and data analysis from a variety of systems.

Travel Requirement: Up to 30%domestic travel to North America MilliporeSigma company sites and/or customer locations

 

Field Based preferrable in the Boston MA area.
