Field Marketing Specialist

Your Role:

The Field Marketing team amplifies sales growth by driving key commercial programs including product adoption, drive seeding of new technical products into the market, regional thought leadership, application knowledge, Voice of Customer, and ownership of Go-To-Market initiatives and tactical plan. We deliver differentiated value through collaboration with all internal functions, advancing processes and business outcomes. This role is open to remote home-based applicants located in the eastern or Midwest US with the ability to travel up to 30% to accomplish objectives

Road Map of a “typical day”:  

  • Translating Marketing Plans into Tactical Plans and partnering with Sales team members for Plan of Action execution
  • Drive seeding of new technical products into the market through technical presentations and meetings with customers
  • Leading knowledge advancement through training sessions and learning modules.
  • Developing value propositions and compelling stories, explaining benefits of our offering and capabilities vs competitive offering.
  • Driving Voice of Customer to understand why we win and lose new business.
  • Thought leadership: Engages with technical and regulatory/quality experts at customers to solve challenges and develop new opportunities.
  • Planning, execution and follow-through of technical seminars and Thought Leadership events, converting leads into early stage opportunities.
  • Effectively utilizes the available tools and resources to track the success of sales initiatives, product launches and reports it to product management
  • Assimilates voice of customer inputs around portfolio products (differentiators, challenges, competition) with product managers to provide guidance for new product development and value propositions.
  • Develops and executes Go-to-Market initiatives.

Expected Results:

  • Apply global initiatives to achieve Sales targets and high-value lead generation
  • Conversion of event generated leads into opportunities and clear ownership transfer to the relevant Sales colleagues.  
  • Customers perceive Field Marketing as high-value consultants of our offering, application and market trends.
  • Recognized by Sales as a high-value partner for technical understanding, roll-out of product launches and identification of business opportunities.
  • Recognized as a thought leader with a strong technical understanding, regional market dynamics for positioning of our contract manufacturing offer.

 

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Biology, Chemistry or Pharmaceutical science.  
  • 2+ years of customer facing experience in small molecule formulation (example: oral solid dose) and advanced technologies in this space

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MSc, and/or PhD is preferred
  • 3 years minimum of directly related work experience
  • Experience in cGMP regulated environment
  • Team player with ability to influence and deliver results in alignment with objectives
  • Advanced degree or advanced work in related field
  • Strong interpersonal and persuasive communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • Ability to communicate information appropriate to the level of the audience.
  • Experience in delivering effective technical presentations to a group of scientists.
  • Strong desire to succeed and ability to execute on multiple tasks or projects.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office software in a business environment.
  • Proficiency in English. Knowledge of any other language is considered an advantage.
