Your Role:

You will be responsible for supporting the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany and the associated responsibilities aligned within the group, as well as the CTO's representation as the country speaker. You will also support our Quality and Regulatory business.  The role will focus on developing integrated strategies to increase employee awareness of key topics and initiatives, while driving owned and earned media activities to maintain a strong external image and reputation. Key activities include stakeholder management, messaging development, content creation, content curation and program management to ensure high quality, consistent communication to our target audiences. This role requires creative problem solving, and an innovative, data-driven mindset to successfully contribute to the team’s objectives of mobilizing employees and lifting our reputation.

 

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8-10+ years working in a Communications, or related role
  • Previous experience in the Life Sciences, Biotech, Bio-pharma or related scientific industry
  • Very strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills  
  • Ability to prioritize complex topics and manage high-impact deliverables 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading the development and execution of internal and external communication strategies across channels

 

Role will be based in MA office

Pay Range for this position: $151,00- $226,600. The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
