Your role:

You will be responsible for selling Process Analytical Technology (PAT) products used for process data monitoring, collection, and auto sampling technology.  You will act as the technical sales specialist for this new portfolio of products, and work closely with regional commercial teams working with our customers to sell your portfolio. 

 

In this role you will be expected to:

  • Pursue and develop sales opportunities in partnership with commercial and marketing teams
  • Identify new sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts and leveraging networking opportunities (i.e. conferences, industry forums, etc)
  • Drive pre-sales activities including developing and planning solution presentations, demonstrating conceptual & proposed solutions, providing technical/product guidance in meetings, responding to RFI and RFQs
  • Be responsible for meeting or exceeding sales targets in your territory
  • Preparation of quotations and proposals, including SLSA negotiations
  • Effectively utilize CRM and sales tools, to appropriately manage contacts, opportunities, leads, seeding, pipeline, and processes
  • Develop and maintain detailed regional strategic plans to manage both short- and long-term revenue growth
  • Support the broader sales force with tactical and strategic insights to identify and execute on new sales opportunities
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with customers and internal partners; builds credibility and trust
  • Self-motivated and assertive; takes initiative and works independently
  • Ability to work effectively and support customers in a virtual and digital environment

You will be expected to work collaboratively across the Commercial, Customer Success and Process Automation and Delivery teams to align priorities to execute on the Customer project plans and needs.  

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, life sciences, chemistry, biochemistry or equivalent.
  • 5+ years in or servicing the Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical Industry with an in-depth knowledge and experience with PAT technologies,  
  • Previous customer facing and/or sales experience, consultative selling experience desired
  • Experience using CRM platforms (SFDC, etc)
  • Strong communication (verbal/written), interpersonal, prioritization, and organization skills
  • Highly motivated, adaptable, and self-directed

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in a Life Science, Engineering or Data analytics
  • Experience working in Biotech industry with direct experience managing big data from various databases (i.e. LIMS, data historians, SAP, etc).  Includes data acquisition/integration/ architecture & complex data modeling
  • Experience working in a global matrix organization
  • Customer relationship management experience and consultative or value added selling experience
  • In depth industry knowledge of the market for PAT and data analytics in biopharma, sales experience in this field is highly desired
