Your Role:

The Science and Lab Solutions FP&A team partners with the SLS Controlling team as well as global business leaders to report and analyze the business results.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Prepare Closing activities and reviews for Science and Lab Solutions (SLS) including updating templates, slides, consolidating team inputs as well as meeting all timelines with accurate results including overviews for management reviews.
  • Analyze financial data (e.g., production costs, trade margin, pricing/volume data, etc.) to identify trends, variances, opportunities for improvement, and provide actionable recommendations to the SLS finance leadership team.
  • Participate in ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as needed to support decision making processes.
  • Consolidate Sales & P&L forecasts from SLS controlling partners and validate input into planning tools.  Review with Head of SLS Controlling and prepare commentary, bridges and slide decks as required.
  • Drive and team-up with business partnering organizations to analyze the SLS P&L as well as dynamics in sales development.
  • Create/maintain/automate reports for SLS controlling team in a timely manner.
  • Maintain/improve production reporting/closing/forecasting process.
  • Prepare SLS financial reporting deliverables for Life Science FP&A as required in an accurate and timely manner. 
  • Maintain SLS Controlling Teams channel, keep SLS Controlling calendar updated, communicate timelines, deliverables and key information to SLS Controlling team.
  • Represent SLS FP&A Controlling as Key User for financial systems (MC4F, ASP, SAC).  Attend meetings, coordinate updates, team support and training as needed.
  • Participate as SLS FP&A Controlling representative in key LS projects (e.g. Project LEAP). Attend meetings/workshops, collect/coordinate requirements for SLS, keep SLS Controlling team regularly informed of project team topics and progress.

Who You Are

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis or related finance roles.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling techniques and tools, with the ability to build and analyze complex financial models.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting tools and ERP systems.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Experience in the life sciences industry.
  • Big 4 experience is a plus.
