Job Responsibilities:

 

The Senior Software Engineer will work within our Analytics Center of Excellence to drive analytics capabilities within the Life Science Business sector. Specific job duties include:

 

  1. Set the direction and lead operating and process improvements on our big data & advanced analytics software platform while ensuring project implementation compliance;
  2. Utilize technology research to innovate, integrate, and manage our operating model;
  3. Use Uptimize, AWS, ChatGPT and NLP to lead the development of new data driven products;
  4. Design, harmonize and improve objects which enable interaction and collaboration on our platform;
  5. Support the visualization of underlying operational data and information while having a strong focus on simplicity and User Experience;
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams of Software Engineers, Architects, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to define and deliver on the roadmap; and
  7. Guide and mentor more junior Software Engineers on different platform services.

 

Travel is required approximately 2-5% of the time (of this, 100% domestic; 0% international).

 

Job Requirements:

 

Employer requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field and four (4) years of work experience as a software engineer or related occupation participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle and implementation. In addition, employer requires:

 

  1. Demonstrated ability utilizing TypeScript, Python and Pyspark gained through four (4) years of work experience;
  2. Demonstrated ability utilizing SQL and NoSQL gained through four (4) years of work experience;
  3. Demonstrated ability utilizing Tableau and similar data visualization tools gained through four (4) years of work experience;
  4. Demonstrated ability working with internal stakeholders to identify technical requirements and manage projects gained through four (4) years of work experience; and
  5. Demonstrated ability utilizing Palantir Foundry to develop applications, data pipelines, reports and maintaining the tools gained through four (4) years of work experience.

 

In the alternative, employer will accept a master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field and two (2) years of work experience as a software engineer or related occupation participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle and implementation. In addition, employer requires:

  1. Demonstrated ability utilizing TypeScript, Python and Pyspark gained through two (2) years of work experience;
  2. Demonstrated ability utilizing SQL and NoSQL gained through two (2) years of work experience;
  3. Demonstrated ability utilizing Tableau and similar data visualization tools gained through two (2) years of work experience;
