Social Media Manager

Location:  This position is a US-based role that can be located in Burlington, MA -or- Remote anywhere in the United States

 

Your Role:

As a Social Media Manager, you will lead and develop our applied business and scientific specific digital content to be used on Social platforms. You will also be responsible for generating social media campaigns to support PU marketing objectives and performing testing and optimization to meet departmental goals.

 

  • Develop, write, revise and oversee English content creation for global social media channels (LinkedIn, FB, Twitter, YouTube) working with the existing Applied Content team members to revamp existing content based on each PU’s GTM strategy
  • Supplement PU Content with trending scientific market and customer interest topics, to ensure impactful engagement
  • Rollout and organization of the global Social Media MarCom trainings to core SM team members within each PU
  • Work and engage with key scientific influencers unpaid and paid
  • Work in close collaboration with Marcom Managers (Global & Regional), Product Managers and Segment Marketing to ensure accuracy and relevance of content and advise on strategy
  • Own and execute the posting of content on Social Media platforms
  • Ensure two-way conversation with customers via own responses and building a social network (Community Mgt.) within each PU to ensure they are trained and engaged to respond to customer comments and requests
  • Generate metrics to review the impact of Applied SM presence and generate recommendations to improve based on our SM goals
  • Responsible for final marcom validation of all global-facing collateral
  • Ensure correct trademark use
  • Be the point of contact for the Application team
  • International and Domestic travel of up to 10% as needed for business purposes

 

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Marketing, Business, Advertising, Communications OR 5+ years of experience within Marketing Communications
  • 5+ years of work experience in the Marketing, Digital, Project Management, IT or Communications area
  • 2+ years of experience with financial controlling with experience in operating, planning, and budget management

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA Degree
  • 2+ years’ experience in the chemicals, laboratory, pharmaceutical-or biopharmaceutical related industry
  • Project Manager certification or International project management experience
  • Senior change management skills to drive and lead global projects and teams
  • Open mind to build up & establish new structures. Curious, creative and innovation driven
  • Excellent speaking, reading, and writing with scientific topics
  • Being fluent in a second language (any)
  • Excellent organization and presentation skills
  • Deep understanding of communication trends and development
  • Experience with Sprinklr, or similar social media monitoring tools
  • Social Media degree
  • Familiar with Social Media platforms best practices
