Strategy & Competitive Analyst

Business & Competitive Intelligence (B&CI) conducts primary and secondary research to develop actionable intelligence and insights for key strategic decisions. We work closely with senior leadership and other stakeholders across multiple functions, such as strategy, business development and marketing.


Your role: As part of the B&CI team, the Strategy & Competitive Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for monitoring the competitive landscape, building subject matter expertise on key competitors and market segments, performing deep dive research and analysis and providing impactful deliverables that include expert insights and business implications.  The Analyst will utilize a breadth of knowledge of CI software and technology to track competitive movements, automate data collection and improve efficiency of CI distribution. 


Who you are:  The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing quantitative and qualitative research and analyses and will demonstrate proficiency in using data and information to develop insights and conclusions. Utilizing a strong technical ability, sharp communication skills, and a broad understanding of the life sciences or related medical field, the incumbent will be able to effectively report findings both graphically and textually. Success in this position will be driven by a natural curiosity, enthusiasm and flexibility. Resourceful, creative and flexible. Skills in analytical decision-making, troubleshooting and problem-solving.

Ability to exercise independent judgment, work within defined policies and practices. Determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. Exhibit solid planning, organizational and documentation skills. High degree of commitment and initiative with great communication and presentation skills. Fluent spoken and written English


  • BA/BS degree in life science or a quantitative field required; advanced degree a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in competitive intelligence or related field
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, financial literacy and a keen interest in adopting innovative technology
  • Highly collaborative and team-oriented with quick adaptability to change and comfort with uncertainty
  • Up to 15% travel, including international
