Product Manager - Platform Products, EMD Digital Inc.

This role can be based in Cambridge, MA or St. Louis, Missouri.


We are seeking a talented Product Manager to join EMD Digital, Inc.  As an industry-leading science & technology company, we seek to solve the most challenging problems facing scientists today. Our team is working at the intersection of digital and science to develop a portfolio of digital products with the aim of speeding up the scientific process from discovery through commercialization.

Who You Are:  

The Product Manager – Platform Products will be part of the new digital business venture and will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment to help shape our product strategy and vision. The Product Manager is a recognized technology leader with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. They have excellent problem-solving, technical experience, and analytical skills and is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle. In addition to the product team, the Product Manager will work with work closely with UXSD, Engineering, Commercial, Project and Marketing/Communications teams to ensure the successful launch of new products as well as supporting EMD Digital’s strategy and goals to make science faster through interconnected digital products.  


Minimum Qualifications: 

  • A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, Life Science or related field of study. 

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. 

  • Experience working with global, highly-matrixed agile product teams. 

  • Excellent written, oral, communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Background or experience in biology/chemistry/bioinformatics or digital products. 

  • Some domestic & international travel (20%) expected. 


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in partnering with business teams and customers to gathering and analyzing requirements in order to meet strategic goals and development efforts. 

  • Experience identifying and integrating use cases that can be leveraged through our product capabilities and work closely with the engineering and UXSD team to strategize and execute the development of products 

  • Experience gathering and analyzing requirements for projects from various stake-holders. 

  • Software management/project lifecycle/project methodology skills required. 

  • Additional Development Skills are a plus.
