Your Role:

 

The Associate Scientist I will be a part of the R&D team supporting the experimental products M4Ward™program. This role includes fulfillment support and coordination ensuring on time customer orders. You will be working closely with the M4Ward Global Program Manager, R&D, Market Managers, and container Engineering. Responsibilities and tasks include:

 

  • Coordinate and set priority of multiple simultaneous customer orders
  • Chemical sampling
  • Chemical packaging and custom label creation
  • Technical input on complex container fills and chemical handling
  • Technical input on small scale chemical purifications
  • Chemical SDS review to conduct and participate in safety reviews
  • Maintain a current chemical inventory
  • Complete complaint investigations and troubleshooting
  • Complete equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Summarize and present production impacting issues
  • Close orders and archive order information
  • Review Analytical data and specification verification
  • Maintain a clean and efficient lab environment
  • Communicate order status, analytical findings and provide feedback to the Marketing and Engineering teams.

Physical Attributes:

  • Wearing full face air-purifying respirator and other PPE
  • Lifting to 50 pounds
  • Standing, sitting, or walking for up to 8 hours
  • Raising arms up to and above 90-degree angle

Who You Are:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other Physical or Life Science discipline.
  • 1+ years of experience handling chemicals in a laboratory environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Knowledge of P&ID’s.
  • Experience working in gloveboxes.
  • Prior chemistry lab experience handling highly toxic chemicals, acids and bases.
  • Knowledge and experience performing small-scale purification and packaging of specialty chemicals.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • A strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Experience using Microsoft suite including (Word, Excel, Access, SharePoint, TEAMS).
  • Experience using SAP, Intelex MOC, and Sharepoints.
  • Strong data analysis, attention-to-detail and organizational skills.
