Location: The Global Fulfillment Optimization Manager is a remote position located in the US and will require up to 30% domestic and international travel to support business needs.

 

Your Role:

EMD Electronics is seeking a Global Fulfillment Optimization Manager to drive projects, optimization, and best practices through the Customer Fulfillment Organization.  The ideal candidate is a dynamic and independent results-driven professional comfortable in leading cross-functional projects that enhance customer satisfaction, streamline processes, and manage operational risks. Combining a strong customer focus with expert-level problem solving, change management, and project leadership skills, you will collaborate with business partners to drive continuous improvement and ensure that our projects deliver measurable results.  Innovation for customer fulfillment, a passion for global supply chain, an appreciation for dangerous goods, and a collaborative self starter are of utmost importance for success.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Customer Focus:

    • Evaluate customer issues and proactively initiate effective interventions to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

    • Accurately record customer concerns, address their requests, and ensure that commitments are met.

    • Continuously seek opportunities to exceed customer expectations by tailoring solutions to their needs.

  • Problem Solving:

    • Break down complex problems to identify root causes and determine critical issues amidst intricate variables.

    • Analyze the wider context of challenges to propose holistic and effective solutions that address both immediate and long-term needs.

  • Continuous Process Improvement:

    • Identify redundancies and streamline existing processes to enhance operational efficiency.

    • Develop, test, and implement new methods, policies, and procedures that drive continuous improvement across teams.

    • Monitor process performance independently, ensuring ongoing effectiveness and scalability.

  • Risk Management:

    • Apply in-depth knowledge of risk management policies, regulations, and procedures to proactively manage potential risks.

    • Independently execute risk management processes and ensure actions are taken to mitigate risks.

    • Understand the impact of various actions and their relationship to risk outcomes, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

  • Collaboration:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless workflow.

    • Facilitate discussions with business partners to clearly define and address business questions.

    • Identify and engage with the appropriate team members and external contacts to drive project success.

  • Change Orientation:

    • Adapt quickly to evolving business needs and shifting priorities, proposing effective strategies for change.

    • Reallocate resources and adjust schedules proactively to accommodate new goals and changes in work assignments.

    • Serve as a catalyst for change by planning and executing strategic initiatives that enhance overall effectiveness.

  • Project/Process Management:

    • Lead projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring all phases—planning, execution, monitoring, and closure—are completed effectively.

    • Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables while addressing roadblocks and issues as they arise.

    • Utilize project management tools (e.g., project charters, Gantt charts, status updates) to track progress and communicate with stakeholders.

  • Deliver Results:

    • Conduct root cause analysis on project shortfalls and implement corrective actions to ensure future success.

    • Apply proven project management methodologies and tools to a variety of projects, ensuring that all objectives are met or exceeded.

    • Mentor and coach team members on effective practices and tools to build a culture of self-sufficiency and continuous improvement.

 

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, mathematics, engineering, supply chain management, or related field or 10+ years’ experience in lieu of formal education

  • 3+ years project management, integration of business processes and/or leading process improvement projects, systems, and/or products
  • Excellent analytical capabilities with experience using an ERP/SAP/Quattro system
  • Continuous improvement experience with process & project management

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years project management, integration of business processes and/or leading process improvement projects, systems, and/or products
  • Strong interpersonal and judgment skills will be required to influence cross-functional partners
  • SAP S4/Quattro expert/super user
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating discussions or workshops
  • Experience leading logistics or warehouse-related projects preferred
  • Experience using PM charter, Gantt chart, status updates and timeline 
  • Formal training in project management or continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, Lean, Theory of Constraints) desired
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills across multiple formats: formal presentations, meetings, conference calls, e-mails, and memos

 

Pay Range for this position: $103,000 - $154,600

 

Our ranges are derived from several sources, and largely reliant on relevant industry market data. Should we decide to make an offer, we will consider several factors, including but not limited to your location, skills, experience, career level, and other job-related factors.  This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; paid time off; and paid holidays; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses.
