Global Systems Manager

Your Role:


Develop and implement engineering solutions to internal customer problems and opportunities. Provide container systems management and engineering support on small to large multidisciplinary capital projects from initiation through start-up and closure documentation.  Provide support and mentoring to other engineering and engineering support personnel.


  • Manage Container Quality Initiative (CQI), Document Control, and procedure alignment.
  • Review results of Failure Analysis, and evaluate to determine if a miss occurred during the preparation process or if opportunities exist to improve. Determine if the potential for consequences extends beyond individual issues (is it a fleet issue, site issue or may have global implications), and implement containment efforts if necessary.
  • Identify data cache locations and begin mining for information that can be used to evaluate the health of processes, and establish control limits on critical parameters.
  • Coral representative for container engineering
  • Evaluate Failure Analysis problems, identify opportunities, and develop solutions
  • Conduct and/or supervise Failure Analysis root cause identification
  • Work with vendors on container design improvements and modifications
  • The focal point for all legacy container Failure Analyses at several sites
  • Manage quality control objectives through all phases of projects
  • Attend seminars, conferences, and training to maintain and expand technical expertise
  • Lead or support departmental process improvement efforts based on annual objectives 
  • Work with other departments such as operations, marketing, and quality to understand the challenges they face and develop solutions



Who You Are:


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
  • 6+ years experience in a design, production, or custom manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years’ Failure Analysis experience


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Safety mindset
  • Excellent communication skills, organization, and ability to thoroughly document work
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project
  • Motivated independent learner
  • Experience working with hazardous and/or high purity chemicals
  • Experience with process hazard analysis/reviews
  • Familiar with industrial automation hardware and software
  • Mechanical aptitude 
  • Knowledge of container cleaning, drying, moisture analyzers, particle counters, leak detectors, cleanroom protocols, and process control automation 
  • Ability to understand and provide direction to assure compliance with EMD Electronics and external regulatory agencies, policies, codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Effective customer service skills
  • Self-starter
