Your Role:

The Research technician – 3rd Shift will be a part of the Small Volume Manufacturing team in Carlsbad supporting small scale manufacturing process and the experimental products M4Ward™program. The Small Volume team works closely with the R&D, Quality Control and Engineering teams.  The Small Volume teams will work to scale up production from R&D and assist in transitioning production to high volume scale up as needed. Responsibilities and tasks include:

• Chemical purification, sampling, packaging.
• Vessel cleaning and break down.
• Maintain a clean and efficient lab environment.
• Maintain a current chemical inventory.
• Equipment maintenance.

Physical Attributes:

• Wearing full face air-purifying respirator and other PPE.
• Lifting to 50 pounds.
• Standing, sitting, or walking for up to 8 hours.
• Raising arms up to and possibly above 90-degree angle.
• This will be an overnight shift. Tuesday through Saturday. 9pm – 5:30am.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school Diploma or GED
• 1+ years’ experience handling chemicals or chemical containers

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of P&ID’s.
• Prior chemistry lab experience handling acids and bases.
• Knowledge and experience performing small-scale purification and packaging of specialty chemicals.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets and technical drawings.
• A strong focus on quality and safety.
• Experience using Microsoft suite including (Word, Excel, Access, SharePoint).
• Experience using SAP and LIMS systems.
• Strong data analysis, attention-to-detail and organizational skills.
