Your Role:

 

The Senior Supply Chain Project Specialist and Data Administrator is a hybrid role.  The successful candidate is a skilled and experienced professional who will play a vital part in creating and maintaining data integrity of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to effectively support site manufacturing operations, streamline processes, and drive efficiency. Additional core responsibilities include initiating, and effective managing Department projects, acting as a liaison between multiple departments within the site. This position is based at the Carlsbad Viral Vector Manufacturing (CLD-VVM) campus (El Camino Real & Whiptail).

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Executes project management activities working with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Drives the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects to successful completion 
  • Organizes and coordinates project meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and follow-up on action items
  • Maintains project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes
  • Oversees Controlled Temperature Units (CTU) lifecycle processes ensuring availability of Department assets
  • Facilitates communication between team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective collaboration
  • Collects and enters master data on raw materials (parts), suppliers and vendors into the ERP system
  • Checks source documents for accuracy and performs data cleaning to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of master data within the ERP system
  • Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) within the department on the configuration, customization, data, and reporting functionality within our ERP system
  • Monitors production support activities as well as new functional enhancements and global project implementations
  • Supports efforts to build-out automation of manual processes
  • Utilize various tools such as Microsoft Power BI, SQL Server/Reporting Services, Visual Studio, and Excel
  • Provides input to risk assessments, service continuity, disaster recovery and GAMP5 computerized systems validation efforts
  • Assists in developing and revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and training materials for use and administration of the ERP application
  • Leverages awareness of business operations and best practices to support stakeholders, explore technology possibilities, and improve operations
  • Assists in developing department goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitors performance
  • Supports continuous process improvement (CPI) opportunities to optimize processes and inventory levels; improve project timelines, efficiency, while ensuring safety and quality

Who You Are:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or other Business discipline
  • 5+ years of experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g SAP), database management, and systems integration

OR

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 8+ years of experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g SAP), database management, and systems integration

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • 5+ years of experience as either a Project Specialist, Procurement, or ERP system analyst.
  • Performs work with a high degree of integrity, respect, responsibility, and transparency.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work independently within broad guidelines
  • Experience working in a biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment or other heavily regulated industry (e.g. Medical Devices, Hi-Tech) 
  • Working knowledge of project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheets) and Agile methodologies
  • Working Knowledge of Windows Servers and Active Directory
  • Ability to effectively prioritize in a high operational tempo to ensure commitments are met
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively address system issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex systems in an understandable way
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technologies and business needs
  • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)

 

 

Pay Range for this position: $70,800 - $106,200/year
Our ranges are derived from several sources, and largely reliant on relevant industry market data. Should we decide to make an offer, we will consider several factors, including but not limited to your location, skills, experience, career level, and other job-related factors.  This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; paid time off; and paid holidays; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses.
