Quality Lead - Analytical Services

This is an exciting opportunity for a Quality Lead to join our team in Cork - on a 12 month fixed term contract - with reponsibility for the support and management of Analytical Services laboratory personnel, for providing analytical support for product release and for compliance with quality and safety standards within the company:

 

  1. Overall responsibility for support and management of the Analytical Services Laboratories, i.e. Analytical, Microbiology & Phage laboratories.
  2. Overall responsibility for co-ordination of routine lot release testing in support of Biotools, Membrane and Media production areas to meet planning and shipping deadlines.
  3. Overall responsibility for analytical method development and troubleshooting in the Analytical Services laboratories.
  4. Implementing quality and safety improvement initiatives in the Analytical Services laboratories.
  5. Ensuring compliance of the Analytical Services laboratories to all applicable quality, regulatory and safety requirements.
  6. Providing support to the manufacturing areas for troubleshooting and development activities.
  7. Overall responsibility for the environmental monitoring program onsite.
  8. Developing and controlling the annual budget allocation to the laboratories.
  9. Participating in regulatory, customer and internal audits.
  10. Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable Environmental, Health and Safety legislation & adherence to Quality standards for areas of responsibility.
  11. Other duties as required

 

REQUIREMENTS:

B.Sc in Chemistry, Microbiology or other relevant scientific discipline.

Minimum of 5 years laboratory supervision experience desirable.

Demonstrated analytical and interpersonal skills.

Proactive in delivering results.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Regulatory knowledge required.
