The Custom Products division serves the domestic and Asia-Pacific biotechnology markets through the synthesis and production of high-quality DNA (Custom Oligonucleotides).

And we are seeking a Production Technician in our Castle Hill facility to join the team on a casual basis (with a view to permanancy) to commence as soon as possible.   

The laboratory operating hours are from 7am to 11pm, split into two shifts and operating Monday to Friday. Shift times are in accordance with the roster and are subject to change


Position responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Synthesis of high-quality Oligonucleotides
  • Processing, Purification & QC tasks incl. HPLC & PAGE
  • Operation of laboratory instrumentation including liquid handling robots and Mass Spec
  • Maintenance & calibration of laboratory instrumentation
  • Chemical and buffer preparation
  • General laboratory housekeeping


To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • BSc qualification or related discipline
  • Chemistry knowledge and work experience in a manufacturing environment or a scientific laboratory, with a strong focus on safety.
  • Confidence in communicating at all levels and demonstrate a sound knowledge of basic computer systems
  • The ability to adapt to a fast-paced, challenging and dynamic environment with the competence to multi-task on a daily basis
  • Flexibility with your working hours
  • The ablity to work within a team and autonomously
