Your Role:

Associate product development scientist supporting the global silica business. Build novel product solutions as part of a collaborative team. Responsibilities and tasks include:

Perform measurements of raw material, in-process, and final product.

• Support maintenance and service of laboratory equipment.

• Use and update laboratory documents and records: batch sheets and analytical test methods.

• Finish and ship samples.

• Collect and maintain laboratory databases, documents, and records.

Who You Are:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, (Materials Science, Chemical, etc) or Life Science (Biology, Chemistry, etc)
  • 1+ years of laboratory experience. 

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2+years of experience with Silicas, colloids, or nanoparticle fundamentals.
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing characterization methods such as particle size analysis, pH measurement, density determination, and titrations.
  • 2+ years of experience synthesizing nanoparticles and following experimental methods.
  • 2+ years communicating and recording results of experiments.
  • Knowledge of basic lab equipment and methods such as pH, density, titration, and particle size measurement.
  • Knowledge of techniques such as ICP, HPLC, IC, etc.
  • Ability to follow established methods, conduct laboratory procedures accurately, and effectively communicate results to the team.
  • Proficient in Excel, spreadsheet management, and statistical analysis software.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
