Your Role:

The Chemical Packaging Technician 1 performs operations including material and component staging as well as packaging and sampling of material.  This role is also responsible for delivering high quality products to our customers by precisely adhering to procedures and standards while performing their job duties. Job duties include:

  • Shift hours: Monday – Thursday, 6:00am – 4:30pm
  • Completes documentation (e.g., batch records, logbooks, forms) following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and ALCOA principles, while clearly documenting activities performed and maintaining a clean facility.
  • Maintains facility housekeeping by cleaning and disinfecting operating areas at prescribed intervals and per procedure
  • Moves and stages materials, components, and utensils utilizing powered industrial trucks (PIT), electric walk behind tow motors, and manual pallet jacks.
  • Manually portion chemicals (e.g., amino acids) into containers precisely following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and batch record instructions.
  • Samples products for Quality Control (QC) testing.
  • Assembles, operates, and cleans process equipment safely, conducts pre-inspections and room clearances, cleans and labels finished good containers, and boxes, palletizes, and wraps finished goods.
  • Promptly reports deviations, discrepancies, and abnormalities to management and assists in determining root cause and identifying corrective actions.
  • Reports inventory of cleaning supplies, personal protective equipment (PPE), and utensils.
  • Actively participates in a proactive safety culture by identifying hazards, coaching coworkers, and working incident-free, while engaging in company training, maintaining a positive attitude, collaborating effectively with peers and management, accepting constructive feedback, and demonstrating a desire to learn and improve.
  • Capacity to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and perform all functions safely and in a timely manner in accordance with OSHA standards and workplace regulations.
  • Capability to follow general personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements as established by company policy

Physical Attributes:

  • Wear full-face respirator
  • May involve frequently sitting, standing, walking, using hands, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
  • Lifting and moving up to 50 pounds

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational and communication skills, along with strong troubleshooting abilities.
  • 1 + year of chemical packaging experience

Pay Range for this position:  $21.00 - $36.00.

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
