Your Role:

MilliporeSigma in Danvers, MA is hiring an Engineering Technician 3 who will understand and follow all written documents including standard preventative maintenance operating procedures (SOP’s), forms, Test Methods, and Test Specifications.

Responsibilities:

  •  Responsible for repairing all unscheduled and scheduled equipment on the Mobius shop floor
  •  Execute daily equipment Change Over in a timely matter that will improve productivity
  •  Ensure proper line opening and line closing for one or more complete operations
  •  Support engineers on new equipment and existing equipment validation
  •  Support various departments (Production, Quality Assurance, Quality Customer Care, Prototype, R&D and Warehouse)
  •  Adhere to company Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) procedures
  •  Responsible for equipment repairs and scheduled preventative maintenance
  •  Initial analysis on basic equipment issue
  •  Maintain an intermediate understanding of equipment frequencies
  •  Intermediate support/performing on equipment Change Over
  •  Obtain equipment information and determine the issue by analyzing the symptoms. Once identified, notify higher ranking technician for approval to proceed with repairs.
  •  Maintain daily record of work performed using Microsoft Excel/Preventative Maintenance Tracker. (MVP)
  •  Daily update on equipment status on the production floor
  •  Meet output and targets set by supervisor

 

This position is a Monday thru Thursday 6:00am – 4:30pm shift (4, 10-hour days)

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience in ­­­­­­maintenance of manufacturing equipment
  • 3+ years of experience in Electrical, PLC and/or Pneumatics

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical maintenance program or Associates degree
  • Bachelor’s degree in Applied Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other Engineering field  
  • Knowledge of Electrical schematics 
  • Ability to communicate to the manufacturing team of any issues or opportunities that may affect product quality
