Your Role:
Responsible for many patient care tasks at the workplace to ensure that each employee receives comprehensive and personalized care they need.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Follow, support, and assist the Occupational Health Nurse with all Occupational Health company Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and Medical Provider Standing Orders.
- Provide Aid, assistance and/or supervision to the employees in the areas of daily living, personal care, and community/social integration when it comes to safety and healthcare while in the workplace.
- Assist the Occupational Health Nurse with the medical surveillance evaluations.
- Assist the Occupational Health Nurse with Health and wellness promotion and developing risk reduction strategies.
- Assist the Occupational Health Nurse in keeping employees productive and healthy by offering them preventative strategies like chronic disease monitoring, immunization, stress management, smoking cessation, nutrition and weight control and exercise and fitness.
- Monitoring vitals and patient behavior and reporting them to the Occupational Health Nurse.
- Assisting and or aid employees with selfcare administration of first aid and or their rescue medications.
- Provide basic first aid, including CPR & AED, as an active member of the Danvers sites Emergency Response Team.
- Report any hazardous conditions, equipment, accidents, or incidents to the Occupational Health Nurse, Environmental Health and Safety team, supervisor when it comes to the safety and healthcare issues in a variety of workplace.
- Assist the Occupational Health Nurse with Hazard detection and risk assessment in workplace.
- Maintain confidentiality of employees' personal health information and working with employers to comply with established codes of ethics and regulatory or legal requirements.
- Maintain current progress notes and any other appropriate documentation for/in the workers employee records.
- Assist the Occupational Health Nurse administrative needs with case management for insurance claims, workers’ compensation, and disability benefits.
- Assist the Occupational Health nurse with evaluating employees who have limitations or work restrictions and recommending appropriate job placement, such as fitness for duty for number of hours and days per week.
- B Shift: Sunday - Thursday 2:30pm - 11pm
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of office work experience.
- 2+ years of medical assistant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Occupational Health certification.
- Bilingual.
