Your Role: The Innovation Manager (all genders) at Future Insight works on initiatives in continuation of the science & technology workstream of our 350 years anniversary such as the Curious – Future Insight conference, our Future Insight Prize, our Research Grants and Research Challenges and our Innovation Cup. This fascinating task will involve further developing our mid and long term technology strategy and identification and access to new game changers via enabling pilot studies, planning and organization of live and online scientific conferences and events with young talent and entrepreneurs, innovation awards, research grants, online platforms, networking and crowd sourcing sessions, scientific competitions as well as workshops with world leading scientists, technology pioneers, key customers and opinion leaders. The job involves managing running collaborations with scientific academic and corporate partners working on breakthrough innovation projects. You join a dynamic team and work hand in hand with your internal interface partners and external agencies, consultants and service providers.
Who you are:
- Degree in natural sciences or computer sciences, Ph.D. is an advantage
- Experience in interaction with academic and corporate partners and in deal making and alliance management in R&D
- Experience with research grants and associated legal processes
- Experience with technology foresight processes and in technology scouting
- Experience in project management and strong communication skills across cultures and continents
- Proficiency in information technology, ability to code is an advantage
- Proficiency in graphics and video design for top communication is an advantage
- Experience in acquisition of public funding is an advantage
- Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Friendly personality, high loyalty and ability to work under pressure
- Self-motivation and desire to accomplish something and make great things happen
- Ability to work well in a team environment with an innovative spirit, ability to think outside the box
- Negotiation-proof English is a must
