Your role:

The Discovery Pharmacology department is looking for a highly motivated scientist to apply state-of-the art assays and technologies, particularly in the area of small-molecule induced protein degradation.

The selected candidate will provide enthusiasm for this innovative field applied in the field of Oncology and Immunology research and will efficiently work in a global, collaborative matrix environment.

In your role as Laboratory head in Discovery Pharmacology you will manage and mentor scientists and technicians. You also will provide scientific leadership in initiatives and technical expertise to contribute to discovery projects.

In your focus will be the development of novel methods to analyze the molecular and cellular mode of action of hits and drug candidates. You will translate scientific questions into analytical strategies building upon your expertise and network in the area of protein degradation. You will represent Discovery Pharmacology in various discovery and development projects and in cross-functional collaborations

Who you are:

  • Scientist with a Ph.D. degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g. biology, biochemistry or chemical biology)
  • Solid knowledge of biochemistry, cellular in vitro pharmacology, chemical biology and drug discovery.
  • In-depth understanding and hands-on experience in a wide range of biophysical, biochemical and cellular in-vitro assays.
  • Experience in the application of assays for the analysis of mode of action and efficacy of small molecule protein degraders
  • A minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical/biotech/postdoctoral experience in industry and international settings
  • High level of self-motivation, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English
