Postdoctoral Researcher (all genders) in Translational Oncology - limited for 2 years

Your Role:

The Translational Innovation Platform Oncology group is offering two postdoctoral researcher positions with strong interest in translational research focused on the biology of cancer genesis and metastases. We are seeking candidates with specific interest on stress and plasticity and/or oncogenic signalling pathways. You will be responsible for identification, characterization and validation of novel targets and therapeutic concepts as well as the identification of new genomic predictors of cancer recurrence, to drive our efforts in development of innovative oncology drugs or drug combinations.

Your tasks include planning and conducting of experimental work, analysis and interpretation of results and their communication in oral and written form. Within cross-functional drug discovery project teams you will act as translation oncology research experts. The candidates will have the opportunity to interact with investigators with expertise in cancer therapy, cancer biology, translational therapeutics, and molecular pathology.

The two positions are initially limited to 2 years with an option for extension.

 

Who you are:

  • PhD in molecular or cellular biology, pharmacology or other related biological sciences
  • Experienced in establishing and optimization of cell-based mechanistic and phenotypic assays in the field of oncology; applying state of the art technologies
  • Strong background in cancer biology and signal transduction pathways, solid knowledge in pharmacology as a plus
  • Highly motivated, research-oriented with a problem-solving mindset
  • Strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent in English
