Principal Scientist/Associate Director Quantitative Pharmacology (all genders)

Your role:

  • Independently develop and guide the development of quantitative mechanism-based PK/PD models that will inform compound progression decisions from lead optimization to clinical proof of concept and beyond for the immuno-oncology, immunology and oncology pipelines, for large and small molecule drug entities.
  • Work in close partnership with Pharmacology, Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics, Safety (Toxicology), Clinical Sciences, Biostatistics and Regulatory.  As a member of project teams and sub-teams, the candidate will represent Quantitative Pharmacology and present analysis outcomes to cross-functional teams, at department meetings, project review committees, and conferences.
  • Contribute to the preparation and presentation of both internal and external documentation (e.g. Investigator’s Brochure, IND, CTD) and product strategy.

 

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, master’s degree with 3+ years of experience, or a PhD (preferred) in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical/Chemical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 3+ years for the role of Principal Scientist in industry and/or academia. For the Associate Director position, a minimum of 7+ years of which 2+ years have been associated with managing and guiding M&S teams in support of projects
  • Able to implement innovative strategies to problem solving and readily accepting and adaptive to change.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively depending on the needs of the project and the organization.
  • Publications in conference proceedings and peer-reviewed journals are encouraged
  • In-depth hands-on experience with modeling software (such as; GastroPlus, Simcyp, Phoenix/WinNonlin, NONMEM, MATLAB, R, etc)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate and summarize outcomes of modeling and simulation analyses into information that can be used by project teams
